I have a Ph.D. in analytical philosophy from Queen's University and held an interdisciplinary postdoctoral fellowship in applied health ethics and narrative writing at the University of Minnesota. I have worked for over ten years in Vancouver as an educator at universities and as a tutor, writing coach, and editor. I have three poetry books published by North American presses and am currently working on a multi-disciplinary book of essays, which includes an exploration of my poetry, under contract with Rowman and Littlefield Publishers. Some of the chapters of this book have been presented at conferences in the UK, such as at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland and the University of London-Birbeck. I have edited books and theses on diverse topics.
